Sunsets February 2006 : Late winter weather was weird. It snowed twice (although it didn't stick) on my patio (916' MSL), hailed once, and sleeted at least a half dozen times during the month of February. We had some of the coldest days on record in late February and March, with some very intense storms. The unusual weather also brought some very lovely sunsets.

Sunsets & Sunrises January 2006 : The Bay Area saw 10 days of incessant rain from before Christmas to after New Years Day 2006. The Russian and Napa Rivers were many feet over flood stage on New Year's Eve. At my house in that period I got 6 inches of rain. Such powerful winter weather is unusual, but this year was followed by several days of warm, clear weather with evening clouds that created spectacular sunsets, like these.
